ACFE

The Spokane Chapter of the ACFE was chartered by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners in February 2005.  The Chapter’s primary focus since inception has been education.  In 2006, the Chapter held its first full-day training conference.  The Chapter has held an annual conference every year since 2006 and it has evolved into a two-day event. The Chapter strives to provide relevant educational content through the annual conference, lunch and learn type sessions, and community philanthropic events.

In 2009/2010, Chapter leaders were instrumental in launching the Justice for Fraud Victims Project (JFVP) in conjunction with Gonzaga University. JFVP is a a 501(c)(3) nonprofit initiative that connects university accounting students, law enforcement, and Certified Fraud Examiners (CFEs) to provide pro bono forensic accounting services to vulnerable individuals, small businesses, and non-profits. It operates nationally through a selection of higher education institutions.
